The inventors of the semi-automatic feeder for dry and liquid zebrafish food, and producers of cultures for artemia and daphnia.

Information Recent years have seen a huge resurgence of interest in the captive maintenance of aquatic organisms. The advent of modern aquarium techniques has made it possible to keep and even see species of corals and fish reproduce in aquariums that until recently were impossible to keep alive. This has contributed greatly to the positive development of the aquarium market which today allows you to raise a portion of coral reef in the middle of your living room. Furthermore, biomedical research increasingly uses aquatic organisms for public health issues. Thus, the zebrafish (Danio rerio) is used in almost all research centers around the world to better understand the physio-pathological phenomena linked to certain diseases such as cancer. Finally, the pharmacopoeia very frequently turns to certain organisms such as corals to isolate molecules of interest which will give rise in the near future to the development of drugs. Although there is undeniable interest in the maintenance of these aquatic organisms, the techniques related to their well-being have not evolved as quickly as the growth of this market. Nutrient solutions meeting the very specific needs of fish raised in captivity are lacking and most of the products offered for sale do not make it possible to achieve acceptable levels of survival and reproduction rates of the species. Worse than that, some brands, out of sheer ignorance, offer nutrient solutions or additives that are harmful to the overall health of the aquarium. Based on this observation, PLANKTOVIE decided to launch and offer to laboratories and the aquarium market, nutrient solutions as well as additives intended for the maintenance of aquatic organisms in captivity.
