Chamber Systems
The chamber systems offer homecage CO2 euthanasia that is humane, safe and automated with a multitude of sizes available to meet varying throughput requirements. All systems are compatible with a wide range of rodent cages from all manufacturers. Touchscreen options available.
How it works
The chamber systems operate a three-stage euthanasia cycle; charging, dwell time and exhaust. At the start of each cycle the doors automatically lock until CO2 evacuation is complete at the end of each cycle.
Stage one: secures doors and anaesthetises animals by slowly raising CO2 concentration. Gas flow is automatically adjusted to bring CO2 to euthanising concentrations to complete euthanasia.
Stage two:(dwell time) This stage ensures euthanasia has been properly completed.
Stage three: CO2 is evacuated and once the system has been purged of CO2, the chamber doors are unlocked and the cycle is complete.
What to consider
The number of cages you need to process per hour is a good indicator of which system will best suit your needs. The following table can be used to help you calculate your throughput and thus select a suitable system.
(Please take into account that each cycle takes approximately 30 minutes including loading/unloading time).

TT-8200 Tabletop Chamber System

The TT-8200 Table Top Chamber automates a three-stage euthanasia cycle: charging, dwell time and exhaust. At the start of a cycle, the chamber lid automatically locks and can’t be unlocked until CO2 evacuation is complete. The clear acrylic structure provides full visibility and a top loading lid makes cage access easy. The airtight gasket sealed lid prevents gas leakage during operation and the manifold design ensures even gas distribution.
M1-TSFM-1 Single Chamber Touch Screen System

The Single Chamber Touch Screen System automates a three-stage euthanasiacycle: charging, dwell time and exhaust. At the start of the cycle, the doors automatically lock and can’t be unlocked until CO 2 evacuation is complete. The clear polycarbonate doors provide visibility while the front-loading, swing-down design offers easy cage access. Airtight, gasket sealed doors prevent gas leakage during operation and the manifold design ensures even gas distribution. The Touch Screen makes operating the system very easy. Optionally, personal passwords are necessary to start the system. Time settings for species used can be predefined by the administrator. The user can select from this list and the screen will then show the stage and the remaining stage- and cycle time.
M1-SBFF-1FM Single Chamber System

The M1-SBFF-1FM Single Chamber System automates a three-stage euthanasiacycle: charging, dwell time and exhaust. At the start of the cycle, the doors automatically lock and can’t be unlocked until CO 2 evacuation is complete. Airtight, gasket sealed doors prevent gas leakage during operation and the manifold design ensures even gas distribution.
M1-TSFM-2 Double Chamber Touchscreen System
The Double Chamber Touch Screen System automates a three-stage euthanasiacycle: charging, dwell time and exhaust. The chambers can be run independantly or together. The chambers can be started independantly at any given time, even if the other chamber is running. Optionally, personal passwords are necessary to start the system. Time settings for species used can be predefined by the administrator. The user can select from this list and the screen will then show the stage and the remaining stage- and cycle time.
